This past Tuesday, June 14th, the sprawling Urban Outfitters campus at the Navy Yard hosted the 6th annual Great Chefs Event to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Established in 2000, the foundation had its humble beginnings when Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) sought to raise funds for children with cancer.
Run by the Vetri Foundation, the Great Chefs Event managed to bring more than 40 of the country’s greatest chefs together in support of a great cause. Beyond the world-class cuisine provided to all those in attendance, the event offered some of the finest spirits from more than a dozen mixologists, wineries and breweries from around the world.
