A look at of Some of the Best Outside Shows this summer

As summer returns so do our favorite summer concerts. Nothing beats hearing your favorite bands play at one of Philly’s awesome outdoor venues like Penn’s Landing or on the Parkway. Here are just a few of 215 Magazine’s recommendations for the best summer concerts to hit up (and even better, some of them are free!)

All summer long on Fridays (and some Saturdays)

Concerts range from jazz to gospel to R&B, so there is something for everyone. On July 3rd, there with be a Family Jam for Fourth of July featuring Emily Osment (of Hannah Montana), Cody Simpson and former American Idol contestant Tim Urban.

The Roots will host Queen Latifah, Daryl Hall, Common, Joe Jonas and more for the “World’s largest free concert” which will be followed by fireworks.

Made in America Festival

Jay-Z’s recently announced concert will feature over 30 musical artists (ranging from rock to hip-hop and R&B) on 3 stages including Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Jay-Z, Janelle Monae, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, and more.
