Don't Miss the "Rage on the River," 618Fest 2011

by Passion Rutledge
Proud Mary won't be the only one rolling on the river.

There's a bottle in your hand, loud music in the background, and you're rocking a bad ass pair of cut-off jean shorts--the kind that makes the old people on the El a little uncomfortable. But who gives a eff? By now, they should know what summer summer summer time means. #WelcometoPhilly. We invented this shit.

On Saturday June 18th 2011, hip-hop and electronica come together in one place--I'm thinking something kinda like a Jay-Z & Linkin' Park Collision Course--to keep the never-ending party going. It's 618 in the 215, 10.5 hours of live music down by the river. Tayyib Ali and Shwayze kick the party off right. And The Cataracs, Autoerotique, and Switch of Major Lazer are just a few of the names that'll keep it jumping. But it don't stop there--the club after party is to be announced. So lace up your boat shoes and put a extra set of padding underneath those flip-flops 'cause you got a whole lot of booty shaking to do. Purchase tickets here and find out more here.
