Looking for somewhere to go for Valentine's Day Tomorrow Night?

            Whether you are spending this Valentines Day with your soul mate, a new flame or your best friend, we’ve gathered a list of events, restaurants and goings on in the city for this year's Valentine's Day must-do's.

The New, Playful Date:

Perhaps you have just started dating someone recently and don’t want to have a whole lot of pressure surrounding your first Valentine's Day. Here are two fun ideas that don’t turn the serious romance dial all the way up.

The Playdaters is Neil Havens unconventional romantic comedy show. The play is about two roommates who exploit a dating service website by playing pranks on unsuspecting women.

Plays & Players Theatre: 1714 Delancey Street, 10 PM, $10

Kryptonite for your Relationship, a comedy show featuring a line up of some of Philly’s best stand up comedians. Along with the raw comedy, food and drink specials will be offered.

Noche: 1901 Chestnut Street, 8:30 PM, Free

The Romantic Date:

Whether you’ve spent many years together or it is a beginning of a new chapter in your life, switch up the regular dinner and movie for these active, fun and romantic events you can spend with your lover.

Sweethearts Skate, Blue Cross River Rink is hosting a day of skating with your special someone to all your favorite love songs. Free photo keepsake, chocolate treats and free roses for the ladies.

Columbus Blvd at Market Street, 6PM, $20

Dances of Love, Society Hill Dance Academy is holding a class every hour between 5 and 9 pm to learn either the tango or the rumba. Two of the most romantic dances ever created!

409 South 2nd Street, Starting 5PM, $40

The Friend Date:

Flying solo this Valentine's Day? Grab one of your fellow single friends and check out one of these hilarious V-day events!

Cupid is Dead, One of the last Tritone performances, an Anti-Valentine's Day cabernet featuring local and international musicians and artists protesting the corporatization of love.

1508 South Street, 7PM, $10

Valentine's Day Party and Movie Tuesday at the Trocadero. After a showing of the intense drama “Blue Valentine” guests are invited to share dating horror stories for a prize! There will also be arts and crafts and candy grams offered after the movie.

1003 Arch Street, 8PM, $3

First Persons Arts “The Ex-Files” story slam, the second year for this event, ten storytellers speak their tales of love lost. The speakers will be judged on a ten-point scale.

World Café Live, 8:30PM, $8-10

If none of these events are up to your speed, or you want to grab a bite to eat before or after, here some Valentine's Day hotspots you are sure to swoon over.

R2L, 50 South 15th Street, 37th floor

This romantic restaurant sure to impress your date, offers beautiful views of the city and the chef is offering a special Valentine's Day menu.

Barbuzzo, 110 South 13th Street

Tapas style to share with a dark, sensual vibe. Ignite the flame in not only your date but your taste buds as well. The “budino” desert is a must to complete to meal!

Amada, 217 Chestnut Street

With small booth tables in the back lit by candlelight you can share heated conversation over Spanish small plates. Beware some dishes kick up the spice, but isn’t that perfect for this holiday?

Le Virtu, 1927 East Passyunk Avenue

A hidden gem, with locally grown and Abruzzi imported products this Italian restaurant will leave you more than just satisfied. Nothing can woe your date more than Italian love infused culinary artwork.

El Vez, 121 South 13th Street

A fun, relaxed vibe perfect for a relationship that is just starting out. Be sure to document the night with black and white four strips from the photo booth!

Last, but defiantly not least, if you are looking for ideas to fill your lovers mind, soul and stomach these tasty treats are sure to hit the spot! Franklin Fountain located at 116 Market Street is the perfect ending to your night, with homemade ice cream and presentation to marvel at. Be sure to share the Mount Vesuvius Sundae! Just down the street at 110 Market is Shane Confectionery which was recently re opened but has been around since the mid 1800’s. Serving some of the most delicious candy in the city, your date’s mouth is sure to water with these chocolates. If you are trying to switch it up this Valentine's Day, surprise your Valentine with cupcakes from Pamcakes, a Philly Cupcakery located at 404 South 20th street. The Red Velvet cake cupcakes loaded with cream cheese icing are sure to satisfy anyone.
