The Kisses for Kyle Foundation is a charity which benefits children and families within the Delaware Valley. With beliefs that the entire family is affected when a child is battling cancer, Kisses for Kyle provides any services needed. Financially they assist with bills, including, home mortgages, car payments, utilities, wigs, food, funeral cost, etc. Other donations come in the form of gifts which children and families may request on birthdays and holidays.

Sharon Snyder founded this organization specifically to honor the memory of herson Kyle, who was just two years old when he lost his battle to cancer.  Following his death of leukemia, Sharon sought out a plan to help others struggling through similar situations. She devotes all her time to a foundation dedicated to absorbing some of the stress brought on by this disease.

On Wednesday March 21, 2012 The Philadelphia Flyers and Ice Girls joined forced with Kisses for Kyle creating an unforgettable evening for these children and their families. Play2 in Chickie’s & Pete’s housed many of the Delaware Valley’s most inspired and inspiring people. Music was provided by DJ Mike Menschner creating an eclectic ambiance for the night. Current Flyers Matt Read & Claude Giroux signed autographs for a small donation. Former Philadelphia Flyers Bob Kelly, Dave Schultz and Flyers Ice Girls Danielle, Caitlin, Kasey and Brittany went one-on-one with all fans and provided autographed picturesfor free. Memorabilia and concert tickets were also afforded for the event through both silent and live auctions.

Kisses for Kyle host many activities, local events and parties to help minimize costs to struggling families. Making children's wishes and dreams come true by taking them to meet local celebrities and affording them opportunities to go to games and other sporting events with local athletes.

St Joseph's University has teamed up with the organization specifically to provide an unlimited amount of volunteers to organize and supervise events. Hawks for Kyle host SJU's most charitable students. Hosting events like Hawk-A-Palooza and raising money through fundraising and event ticket sales. There are approximately 20 volunteers atthis time. All who have helped raise 30k in a recent fundraising event.

Towards the end of the evening I sat down on-on-one with the families of children who are battling cancer. Angelina Ferraro who is just 4 years old was diagnosed 2 years ago. Also in attendance was 12 year old Rebecca Poulton (who was diagnosed in 2004) and mother Georgeanne Stoeckle. Georgeanne expressed her gratitude to Sharon Snyder and Mike Barnes (who planned the event) saying they are very supportive. She and family appreciate all aspects of the organizations including gifts during the holidays and birthdays, the friendships, endless support and Kisses for Kyle’s passion to help.

Kisses for Kyle - Flyers Fun Night wastruly inspiring to all who attended. A fantastic organization to be a part of and it is a gift that keeps on giving. There are many ways to contribute if interested. Please go to www.kissesforkyle.org for more information. Follow them on twitter @kissesforkyle
