Philadelphia’s premiere neo-burlesque dance troupe, Peek-A-Boo Revue boosted festivities at the first Olde City Tattoo art show last Saturday night. Dominating the lights of Sigma Sound Stage, the Revue’s famously bawdy host Count Scrotchula lured a willing and ready audience into the salacious world of modern-day burlesque. Song and dance numbers by the adorably precocious Lulu Lollipop and the inarguably seductive Sophie Sucre sandwiched the bouncy performances by their equally talented costars: Ava Capri, Cherry Bomb, Tracey Todd Superstar, Zinnia Fire and Rosalee Sweet.

Inexplicably segmented with naughty Bible Trivia, disturbingly honest puppet shows (including a techno lip synch to Comfortably Numb) and catchy tributes to David Bowie and Tom Waits, this smartly interactive variety show and its perky players delivered a spirited evening of riotous absurdity and shameless fun.

Catch Two.One.Five’s coverage of the city’s only show that manages to seriously bare it all, while still leaving much to the imagination. Visit the Peek-A-Boo Revue Troupe at
