Nada Surf are touring in support of their latest effort, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, their sixth studio album.
Recorded on a tight schedule and hoping to maintain the raw energy of their live performances, front man Matthew Caw, bassist Daniel Lorca and drummer Ira Elliot recorded the album in a practice space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Says Caw, “We couldn’t do vocals late at night because the music from the bar downstairs would come through the floor.” The result is a more optimistic album than some of their previous efforts, full of imagery and serene musical landscapes.
Come see them this Monday, April 9th at 7PM at the Theatre of the Living Arts on South Street, supported by opener An Horse.
