What to Expect from Kanye West's Show in Atlantic City

by Ryan O'Connell
West plays his first solo show in 14 months in Atlantic City next month

It was announced this week that Kanye West will be playing two shows at Atlantic’s newest joint, Revel, the first weekend of July. These shows are West’s first solo shows in almost two years. He’ll be playing the resort’s Ovation Hall, a 5,000 seat theater that Beyonce christened in May.

But what can we expect from Mr. West? A Kanye live show is about as consistent as a Jack White live- you never know what you’re going to get. Prior to the epic Watch the Throne tour with big bro Jay Z, West was touring with nothing but a sampler. That tour got mixed results. But then again, everything West touches gets mixed results. That sentence got mixed results.

So that brings me back to my main question- what can we expect from Kanye West when he brings his traveling circus to magical Atlantic City?

Off the top of my head, here are five things that a Kanye West show in Atlantic City might include:

1. Kim Kardashian- because if standing in the line at the grocery store has taught me anything, it’s that they might be seeing each other.

2. An elephant, specifically the elephant from the “No Church in the Wild” video. Elephant rentals can’t be cheap and either Kanye or Jay Z might still have the little fella kicking around in a NYC loft or something.

3. Sick pyrotechnics. I honestly can’t imagine West doing anything without an amazing light show. In my head there are pyrotechnics hooked up to his alarm clock.

4. The Kardashians. No, I’m just kidding. It sounds like West is getting a little sick of them. Although that hasn’t seemed to stop them yet.

5.Jay Z and Beyonce. Have you seen this blog? It’s funny because there is a good chance it’s true. At least 90%.
